Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently within the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC other fighter, is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia has started her professional journey in 2003, won in 2012 and 2016, the International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. It was also the WMC World Championships also held in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She took the win in the second round by TKO and then won the next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of 3-1. Shevchenko took a break from MMA so that she could focus on kickboxing. She made her return with a win against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimously-decided match after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Antonina Shevchenko was given an UFC contract following this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by the unanimous verdict. She then was unable to win her next fight because of an unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. This earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
