Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine is Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at churches. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
