Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rapper who is known for his unique style. Baker was born on 22 April 1990 in Houston Texas U.S. into a family that was of English Scottish and German descent. In his early years Baker, he spent a good period of his time on the road with his parents, who were missionaries. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed, while Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver, where they lived in the home of his dad's aunt. Baker's poverty was the reason to be bullied by children in the area. The first time Baker heard of hip-hop was as he began sixth the sixth grade. Colson Kelly was born Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989, in Texas. The artist is famous for mixing hip-hop styles that are contemporary and alternative to rock in his music compositions. Prior to joining Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes from 2007 to 2010. After delivering lyrics faster than bullet trains the Cleveland rapper experienced a swift rise to fame in 2011. He went from releasing self-released cassettes, to being signed to labels. His career took off and each album charting within the top ten.
